Gossip Girl and Melrose Place actress Kelly Rutherford has been successful in collecting 100,000 signatures in a White House petition to get her two kids back to the country, The Washington Post reported on May 13.
By hitting the 100,000 threshold, the Obama administration is warranted to review and respond to Rutherford’s child custody battle with her ex, German businessman Daniel Giersche. Her two kids, 8-year-old Hermes and 5-year-old Melrose, have been living with their father in France after a judge granted him custody in April 2012. Giersche’s visa was revoked after their split, meaning Rutherford bore the responsibility of traveling to see the children.
